Author Whitney Haldeman presents breezy but spot-on advice to creating New Year’s resolutions that can be enjoyed and achieved. She asserts that one should document one’s goals but her suggested approach is unique. She suggests assigning a number to the goals that pertains to the number of years it will take to achieve them.
Then, she suggests that the goal should be discussed with friends or relatives thereby weighing them with other’s comments giving them a place in one’s future. She describes it as accountability; it seems more like believability. In either case, it serves as a motivator to attack the goal and makes the goal a more certain life priority.
It’s a quick read but does provide some clear and logical suggestions that should make New Year’s resolutions or personal goal setting in general more productive.
